Gear List – minimum requirements

To ensure optimum safety and enjoyment of Kathmandu Adventure Series participants, the following items are to be worn or carried during the event, as a minimum:

P - per person

T - per team

Map (bring some contact paper to waterproof it with) (T)
Compass (T)
Mobile phone, in a waterproof bag (T)
Pealess whistle (P)
Drink, at least two litres per team is recommended (T)
Basic first aid kit (one crepe bandage, adhesive tape, wound dressing and
six adhesive dressings (T)
Emergency blanket (space blanket) (T)
Pen (for marking map) (T)
Mountain bike (P)
Cycle helmet (P)

A full gear list, rules and directions will be available for download from the website approximately one week before the event.

Maximum Adventure Shirts & Caps:

To look and feel the part on the day of the event, and whilst in training, T-shirts and Caps are available for purchase via the Kathmandu Race Series event organizer, Maximum Adventure.

T-shirts are a 100% polyester Raglan Cool Dry Tech t-shirt. The material is quick drying, breathable and moisture wicking and provides UV protection making it perfect for training or racing. They are available in men's sizes S-XL and women's sizes 8-14 and are only $40 each

The caps are white and are made from a sports specific polymesh fabric. These lightweight caps are great for running and paddling. Machine washable they protect you from the sun while keeping you cool. Only $15 each with an adjustable strap one size fits all. Pre-order both of these items when entering online
