The Course::

The course is kept secret until teams recieve their registration packs on the day. The packs contain a premarked map with most of the checkpoints. Each checkpoint is worth a different value depending on how difficult it is to reach. Teams must then plot a course to maximise the number of points collected in the alloted three hours taking in to account their fitness, paddling and navigation skills.

Checkpoints (CP's) can be collected in any order by paddle or foot as some maybe located away from the water.

Route planning will be crutial for the winning team. The format allows you to make the event as hard or as easy as you like.

CP's may involve punching your control card, completing a task or merely answering a question at the CP location. Not all checkpoints are premarked on the map. Some will only be revealed once you reach one of the designated premarked checkpoints.

Competitors should be aware that the lake is tidal, and what could be a one hour paddle oneway could leave you two hours from home paddling against the tide. Also, access to some CPs may be limited or enhanced by the high or low tide, so be sure to allow for this in planning your route.

The event will start and finish at the same location.
