Kathmandu Adventure Series
These sprint adventure races are designed for teams of two. The course consists of 15-25km of mountain biking, 5-10km of trail running/trekking and 2-4km of kayaking. There are multiple legs of each discipline.
Kathmandu MAX 24 Hour
24 hour adventure race designed for solo's and teams of two. A typical course will consist of 60-70km of mountain biking, 15-20km of trail running/trekking and 10-15km of kayaking.
Urban MAX Adventure Race
Part adventure race, part scavenger hunt with a mix of the amazing race. Teams of two race through the heart of the host city completing a variety of activities along the way.

Coastal Classic
A running race along the classic Coast Track from Otford to Bundeena. With 29km of trails, beaches, sand and rainforest - this race has a little bit of everything with great views to top it off!
Go Natural Multisport Race
A multisport event (no navigation) involving a 32km road cycle, 12km flatwater paddle and a 12km trail run in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
Great Adventure Challenge
A fun event for work colleagues and friends who love a challenge. A race over a range of terrain this event requires perseverance, determination and teamwork. All funds raised go directly to the Starlight Children's Foundation.
Adventure Paddle
A paddle based event involving some basic navigation spanning three hours on and around one of Sydney's prime waterways less than 60 minutes from the CBD.
From deep in the Australian bush to deep in the urban jungle, events include mountain bike, foot, and kayak races, including the ever-popular: Kathmandu Adventure Series, Urban Max, Dirt Works 100km Classic and Tough Bloke Challenge series.
Maximum Adventure started with a focus on Adventure Racing and set out to create events that would offer the novice competitor an opportunity to see what the sport of adventure racing is all about, and challenge experienced athletes. With this philosophy in mind Maximum Adventure created the ever-popular "Kathmandu Series" and by doing so, established the first ever adventure race series in Australia.
With a strong foundation Maximum Adventure developed a longer version of the Kathmandu Series called the "MAX24 Hour". This race would cater for the intermediate to advanced competitor looking to compete at the next level. The MAX24 turned out to be a hit from the start and is Australia's premier 24hour adventure race.
Maximum Adventure has since diversified their portfolio of public events from adventure races to multisport, mountain biking and corporate events.
Their Dirtworks 100km is a popular event on the mountain bike calendar with over 1000 competitors at each race. Likewise, the "Urban Max" races are popular amongst adventure-hungry city slickers of all fitness levels, taking place in Sydney, Perth and Brisbane.
With a host of exiting events, Maximum Adventure invites participants from all walks of life to take part and keep in tune with their philosophy of "Living Life to the Max".
