The Course::

Your team must complete the course (together, no relays) in the minimum amount of time by visiting each of the check points in turn by foot, bike or water.

The course is kept secret until the day of the race. At registration you will be issued with your maps and race instructions. Sometimes the maps will be premarked, other times you will need to copy the checkpoints off a master map. The race instructions will tell you in what order to collect the checkpoints and what equipment you can use.

Either way it's worth turning up early to give your team plenty of time for planning.

A typical course might involve:

Leg 1: 2km trail run
Leg 2: 10km MTB
Leg 3: 1km kayak
Leg 4: 5km MTB
Leg 5: 5km trail run
Leg 6: 7km MTB
Leg 7: Finishing with a 2km kayak.

Just to keep you on your toes a natural obstacle (eg. mystery discipline, creek crossing etc.) or two maybe thrown in to add a little spice.
