Established in 2002, Maximum Adventure is an event management company that specialise in organising corporate events, adventure races and multisport events around Australia. We started the business with a focus on Adventure Racing and set out to create events that would challenge experienced athletes but also offer the novice competitor an opportunity to see what the sport of adventure racing is all about. With this philosophy in mind we created the popular “Kathmandu Series” and by doing so, established the first ever adventure race series in Australia. With a strong foundation we continued a commitment to offer professionally organised races with a longer version of the sport called the “MAX24 Hour”. This race would cater for the intermediate to advanced competitor looking to compete at the next level. The MAX24 turned out to be a hit from the start and is now well established as one of the premier 24hour races in Australia. Looking to the future we have since diversified our portfolio to include not only adventure races but also multisport, mountain biking and corporate events. Our Dirtworks 100km is a popular event on the mountain bike calendar with over 1000 competitors in the 2007 race. Likewise our “Urban Max” races are popular amongst city slickers looking for an adventure in their neighbourhood, hosted in the major cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. With a host of exiting events we have participants from all walks of life taking part and keeping in tune with our philosophy of “living life to the max”.
